Sara Blancke, Director of Operations

Sara joined the Boys & Girls Clubs of York County in April 2006 as a part-time program specialist at the Northside Unit. Sara graduated from Northwestern High School in 2003. She then attended The University of South Carolina where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Experimental Psychology in 2007. While finishing her degree at the University of South Carolina, she worked for the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Midlands at the Dent Middle School Unit. At Dent, Sara led the digital arts program as well as helped to develop the Club’s first newspaper.

While attending school, Sara's passion for the Boys & Girls Club mission continued to grow and, upon completion of her undergraduate degree and a move back to Rock Hill, Sara was promoted to Unit Director of the Northside Boys & Girls Club in York County in 2007. In July of 2008, she was once again promoted to Director of Operations. Sara has also recently completed her Masters of Social Work degree at Winthrop University.

Sara is the proud daughter of Robert and Cindy Hunt, the director of ParentSmart and the Rock Hill Resource Center. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, going to the movies, and traveling - most recently to Poland, Israel and Jamaica! Sara resides in Rock Hill with her husband, Ryan Blancke, and their 2 year old Alaskan Malamute, Juno.
